*Commemorating the anniversary of the Great Tohoku Earthquake.* NDTV's report, shown above, featured 'Concert for Japan', a benefit concert that raised significant funds to rebuild a primary school and the lives of the orphaned children following the devastating Japanese earthquake and tsunami, on Indian national television. The International Edition premiered on Japanese television networks' primetime to a viewership of hundreds of thousands in Japan and across the world. March 11, 2011. The wailing Japanese tsunami klaxons echoed across roiling waters, knelling mournfully for the tens of thousands of lost human stories. Sealing scars stung. I sought to make an impact, not with just another 'drop-in-the-bucket' fundraiser. What better way than through music? Concert for Japan was born: For The Children of Japan, By the Children Of Chennai. Exactly 3 months later: attended by the American and Japanese Consulate Generals alongside celebrities and music legends, trumpeted on n! ational and Japanese television, Concert for Japan was a resounding triumph.
